Grab yourself a fine-toothed comb because every inch of the rider and horse must be cleaned to perfection. The competitions consist of many excellent horse drill- team groups and a half of a point can determine the first-place winner. The riders must be neatly dressed and every detail counts-- from the smile shaped brim on the cowboy hat to the toes of their boots. Every rider wears a black hat, black pants, and black boots. The drill master designs and makes the shirts and chaps for each rider. This team currently has two uniforms blue with silver and purple with silver. Each shirt has a matching set of chaps to go along with the uniform.

Not only must the rider be spiffed up to perfection, but her trusted steed must also exude cleanliness. If one horse wears a ribbon in its mane or tail, all other horses must wear a matching ribbon. The tack used on the horse must also match. This includes the saddle blanket, leggings, breast collar, headstall, and reins.
The Rawhiders with the help of their sponsors have been able to purchase leather
team owned equipment. All in all, appearance is what counts. Riders and their horses must make a great impression in dress!
